Lulu & Trish

by Tiffani Leslie & Kelleya White

Trish was born in Great Falls, Montana, but raised in Ohio. And like Lulu, entertaining was in her blood. Before coming to 102.5 as a fill-in, she was the lead singer for the band The Flirts. After its disbandment, Trish went on to record “Ooh Child” that reached number 14 on the DMA dance charts. Trish is also an actress. She had a role in the soap opera “One Life to Live” as well as doing work on commercials. If that resume was not enough, she’s also a songwriter for many genres such as Country and Pop. Her work with Country is what led her to Nashville.

Their personal lives however are quite different. Lulu is married to “the love of my life, Brian.” She also has two stepchildren, Matt, 17 and Bridget, 14 whom she loves dearly. Lulu describes herself as a “girlie girl” who loves to shop, power walk, and dance. “I take dance for recreational purposes only. I would never…audition for a dance role. It’s just for me personally,” explains Lulu.

“I like wine.” Trish laughs. “I’m more of a outdoors…blow ‘em-up-movie-type girl.” At the time of the interview, she was single, but currently going through a dating service for the “Summer-of-Love” date-a-thon. Each week the dating service sets Trish up with a new date and she shares her experience with the listeners. “ This service has been a great tool for me. It allowed me to…assess whether I am attracted to someone and would like be in a relationship, or just be friends.” This says a lot about someone’s personality. I would be scared to death about having the “awkward first date” over and over again, but Trish stresses that it doesn’t bother her, and she has really enjoyed her experience.

Speaking of personalities, as far as I can tell there is no Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde going on here. Their personalities are just as bright and bubbly as one would perceive it to be on air. It’s hard to believe they ever frown or have a bad day. However, it happens, and I will let you guys in on something juicy. Look over your shoulder now to make sure no one else is reading this…on second thought we need readership for advertisers so call in the whole gang for this one. “Whenever Trish is having a not so good day, I put on a Madonna song,” Lulu states.
